One player that has not been able to get on track this season has been versatile forward Lamar Odom of the Dallas Mavericks.

However, Mark Cuban is wary of buying out Odom knowing that contenders will snatch him up and he could come back to haunt Dallas once again as a foe possibly in the postseason. Since the chances of something like this happening are possible, the Mavericks could look to ride out the remainder of the season with Odom on their roster and look to move him in the offseason depending on how free agency goes.

San Diego Chargers beat writer Kevin Acee is very tentatively reporting that offensive lineman Kris Dielman is leaning towards retirement.

If you’ve checked any hockey source within the last week, it seems Rick Nash has a new “likely” destination every day.

John Shurna is averaging 20.3 points per game and is only 17 points away from breaking Bill McKinney’s all-time scoring mark at Northwestern of 1,900 points that has stood since 1977.  With five regular-season games, the Big Ten Tournament and either the NCAA Tournament or the NIT, Shurna could very well be the first Wildcat to eclipse the 2,000-point mark.

The Los Angeles Lakers have surprisingly not made a move yet to solve their problems at the point guard position, and general manager Mitch Kupchak would be smart to make a trade sooner rather than later.

The best teams in the Western Conference have athletic point guards who dominate in transition, and with a 37-year-old Fisher starting at point guard, the Lakers don’t have the speed necessary to contain the likes of Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Tony Parker.

The shark is nature’s second-most perfectly evolved predator. Their perfectly hydrodynamic shape, incredible swimming power, astonishing hunting senses and yes—rows and rows of razor-sharp teeth—have put them at the apex of the ocean’s food chain since 200 million years before the first dinosaur walked the earth.Nature’s most perfectly evolved predator is Lawrence Taylor. The most electrifying, terrifying pass-rusher who ever lived, Taylor single-handedly changed the way the game is played. The power his body generated to propel his 6’3″, 245-pound frame to terrifying speeds was transferred into the blindsides of opposing quarterbacks. Ribs, legs and offensive possessions were shattered by the

Coaches are stretching the field vertically and horizontally with 4-receiver and 5-receiver sets so quarterbacks have more options and need less time. As the passing game becomes more effective across the board, the inside run game will continue to fade in importance. NFL coaches are already dialing up passes it 40, 50, 60-plus times a game with regularity. Offenses are protecting the quarterback with agile, technical linemen who can’t double as interior road graders—but don’t need to.
