Rick Ball, a 43-year-old from Orillia, Ont., will attempt to set a world record for amputee marathoners at the Boston Marathon on Mon.

April 20, 2009. He began training as an amputee runner when he was first fitted with a carbon fibre prosthesis less than 2 years ago. In July, Ball ran a full marathon in 3hr 10min, only 6min off the World Record.
